Note: the instructions for Windows 95 installation of the DJGPP compiler may work for Windows NT. However, I cannot guarantee this, as I have not tested it myself. I also have had reports of boot problems with Windows NT if modifications are made to autoexec.bat. Therefore, that method of installation is definitely NOT recommended; if you want to try installing under NT, do so via the Windows 95 instructions, keeping in mind that I have not tested this myself and cannot tell you definitely whether it will work.
Also please note that I can help you with compiler problems only if you use the DJGPP compiler that I provide on the CD-ROM in the back of the book. If you want to use another compiler, that's fine, but I won't be able to help you with any problems you may encounter in compiling your programs, other than to recommend that you use the DJGPP compiler.
